Jasper
Cillessen has become Barcelona's fifth summer signing after putting pen to
paper on a five-year contract at the Nou Camp. The
goalkeeper has joined from Ajax for £12million and will compete for the No 1
spot with Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who is currently sidelined with a knee injury.
Cillessen
completed his medical at the Spanish giants on Thursday morning and Barca have included
a £51m release clause in his contract.
The
27-year-old, who has won 30 caps for Holland, announced the move on his
newly-created Twitter account before Barca confirmed their latest signing.
Barcelona
will officially unveil the Dutchman as their newest addition at the Nou Camp on
Friday.
He started
for Ajax in their Champions League play-off defeat against Rostov on Wednesday before
jetting off to Spain.
Cillessen's
arrival at the Nou Camp was soon followed by Claudio Bravo completing his own switch
to Manchester City in a deal worth up to £17m.
