Wikki Tourists are not under pressure, Says Obaje

Wikki Tourists top striker Godwin Obaje has revealed that he and his teammates are in the right frame of mind for Sunday’s week 33 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) game against FC IfeanyiUbah in Nnewi.

Obaje who is leading the league goal scorer chat with 16 goals said the team is highly motivated ahead of the clash.

In a chat with Sportinglens.blogspot.com, Obaje believes the Bauchi-based outfit can shock FC Ifeanyi Ubah in their home ground to consolidate their lead on the table.

“With the way things are in the league now, we want to win all our remaining matches and we are not under pressure to do that. We were very close last season and we want to achieve something tangible with the club this season.  We won our last game against MFM and we are comfortably leading the table, hopefully we will return to Bauchi with another victory on Sunday. The spirit in the team is very high and we want to be part of the history of the club,” Obaje told Sportinglens.blogspot.com.

“We are getting inspiration from the government, management and our fans. The only way to say thank you to them is to at least get the continental ticket at the end of the season,” he added.

Wikki Tourists are currently leading the log with 53 points from 30 matches played so far.
