Rangers get N1.5m financial boost

The board chairman of Rangers International of Enugu, Festus Onuh has redeemed his financial pledge to players and officials of the team for securing 1-1 draw against Enyimba FC of Aba in matchday 29 league game on Sunday in Port-Harcourt.

The Rangers media reports that Onuh showered N1.5 million to players, technical crew, supporters and officials of the team on Monday while on their way back to Enugu after their match against Enyimba FC.

Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports that the chairman was reported to have pledged undisclosed financial incentive to the players and technical crew for away victory against Enyimba on Sunday.

Onuh since assuming leadership of Rangers Intl. FC has been a financial pillar of the team even in times of need.

It is understood that he has given an open cheque to the players and technical crew for the remaining matches of the league, both home and away matches, which nobody has ever done for the players.

The players and officials have expressed gratitude to Onuh for his magnanimous disposition and financial support to the team, while calling on other philanthropists within and outside the state to emulate the shining example of Onuh in ensuring that Flying Antelopes wins the 2016 league title after 32 years.
