Barcelona
goalkeeper Claudio Bravo will join Manchester City this week for €25m, according
to Sport.
The Catalan
daily reports that the 33-year-old is expected to travel to Manchester this
Thursday to undergo a medical and finalise his move.
Although he
featured for Barca in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup against Sevilla,
the Chilean is aware the Blaugrana see Marc-Andre ter Stegen as their best bet
for the future and it would be far more difficult for him to maintain his place
in boss Luis Enrique’s starting line-up this term.
City chief
Pep Guardiola is believed to want a ´keeper who is adept at using his feet and
has been unimpressed by Joe Hart, who was dropped for the opening Premier League
game of the season last Saturday in favour of former Malaga stopper Willy Caballero.
Bravo has
made 73 appearances for Barca since joining for €12m from Real Sociedad in July
2014 and has gone on to win two La Liga titles, two Copa del Reys, a Super Cup,
a FIFA Club World Cup as well as the Champions League.
