Sports Club of Ibadan media officer, Jubril Arowolo has attributed his side’s
2-1 win over Sunshine Stars of Akure in a Matchday 29 of the Nigeria
Professional Football League (NPFL) clash on Sunday to hard work. Sunday
Adetunji scored a brace against Sunshine to bring 3SC’s league survival alive.
Both goals were from the penalty spot, in the 33rd minute and stoppage time after Meshack Chibuikem had put Sunshine Stars in front after 23 minutes.

Shooting
Stars are now 14th on the table with 36 points from 27 matches.
Arowolo in a
chat with SportingLens.blogspot.com said Oluyole warriors deserved to win the
game as he said that his boys put everything into the game which earned them
maximum victory in the game.
He added that two goals scored were genuine, insisting that officiating was fair.
“We didn’t
expect Sunshine Stars to say anything otherwise because they lost the match. We
beat them squally because we came to the game full of determination. There was
nothing wrong with the goals we scored against them. It was a good game and we
knew they will come with different tactics and we were able to outplay them and
God gave us the victory. In a game of football you win some and lose some. They won at their home ground and we won our
game on Sunday too. We are still fighting and we will not relent until we
achieve our goal,” Arowolo said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com
Oyo State
Governor Abiola Ajimobi who was a special guest of honour at the match bought tickets
worth N30, 000 for himself and his entourage to inspire Oluyole Warriors to
victory on Sunday.
“The
governor presence was a massive boost to us and we appreciated his kind gesture.
His presence really helped us to win on Sunday. Also, for governor to pay to watch
the match shows that he has the interest of the club at heart and it will boost
the club’s financial standard ,” he added.
