Ariwachukwu named Akwa United's vice captain



The management of Akwa United Football Club has named defender Ariwachukwu Emmanuel Vice Captain of the club.


The announcement was made after the team's Thursday morning's training at the training pitch of the Godswill Akpabio international Stadium in Uyo.

Ariwachukwu was the Stand-in Captain for the team in her last three Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL matches against Shooting Stars Sports Club 3SC, Kano Pillars and MFM in which they won all.

The Rock Solid defender replaced former Vice Captain Olufemi Kayode who has been released by the club.

Ariwachukwu who has played 16 out of the team's 19 matches in the first stanza of the NPFL season will deputised substantive Captain Otobong Effiong who recently returned from injury.
