. Rangers, Wikki game fixed for April 23
By Taofeek Babalola
Wikki Tourists chairman Isa Matori believes his side have
regained their confidence following their 3-1 victory over Gombe United last
weekend. The Big Elephants have been in poor form so far in 2017,
winning just five of their 16 outings prior to their victory over the Savannah Scorpions
in the matchday 18 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) at the Abubakar
Tafawa Balewa stadium, Bauchi on Sunday.

Matori commended his boys for their new found spirit,
stressing that they would have scored more goals against Gombe United.
The club’s boss also informed Sportinglens.blogspot.com that
players have been paid their match bonuses for beating Gombe United.
He said he had ordered the payment of their match bonuses to encourage
them to do more for the team.
However, the rescheduled week 13 of the Nigeria Professional
Football League (NPFL) clash between Rangers International and Wikki Tourists
have been fixed for April 23. Before then, the Big Elephant will travel to
Umuahia to play Abia Warriors for the matchday 19 encounter this weekend.
And according to Matori, Wikki’s confidence has returned.

- “We have two away matches to be played in a row and we are not worried about that. We are prepared for it because our players are in the right frame of mind. They have started getting results and I have absolute confident in them. I love the way they play against Gombe United. We would have scored 5 or six goals against Gombe United but we missed so many clear chances. We immediately arranged for the payment of their bonus after the match against Gombe United to appreciate their efforts,” Matori said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
