Kano Pillars
have promise to improve on their game when they face El Kanemi Warriors in
Sunday's matchday 17 clash of the Nigeria Professional Football League clash in
Maiduguri.
The club's
media officer, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa described his side's 1- 1 home draw
against Nasarawa United in matchday 16 as a challenge to players, technical
crew and management of the club.
Malikawa told Sportinglens.blogspot.com that the result against Nasarawa United is a wake-up call to the team to go all out and get some
positive results in the next away matches before the end of first stanza of the
league, starting from the game against El Kanemi Warriors.
He added
that the players, technical crew and the management are aware of the Kano State
Government and entire fans of the club expectations from the team this season,
assuring that they would do everything humanly possible to meet the
expectations.
He commended
the fans for the sense of maturity they exhibited after the draw in Kano with
Nasarawa and urged them to sustain the tempo.
Malikawa
then thanked the State Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for his financial
support to the team, adding that the players of the team are getting all their
benefits as at when due.
"As the
end of first stanza is around the corner, the team is studying the areas that
would need adjustment during the transfer period," Malikawa said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
