management of Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi has reached agreement with the former Flamingoes coach Bala Nikyu to be their new Technical Adviser.
Nikyu will replace former head coach
Mohammed Babaganaru who was relieved of his job last Friday.
The club’s media officer, Nasiru Kobi
informed Sportinglens.blogspot.com that Nikyu was at the Wikki Tourists' training season at
the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu on Tuesday in preparation for Wednesday’s
rescheduled Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) tie against Enugu
Rangers.
Kobi added that Nikyu will be in
Bauchi on Sunday to officially sign the contractual papers to confirm his
appointment as new Technical Adviser.
“I can tell you that coach Bala Nikyu was at
our evening training session yesterday (Tuesday). Nikyu came with the club’s
Secretary Tijjani Suleiman and he watched our training from the stand. Nikyu will be at the stadium to watch
our game against Rangers on Wednesday and he is expected to sign the contract
paper on Sunday in Bauchi,” Kobi told Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
Nikyu resigned as the Technical
Adviser of Katsina United early this season for personal reasons.
