Tourists have released three of its players, as part of the process to
restructuring the team ahead of the second stanza of the Nigeria Professional
Football League (NPFL).
The players,
according to a source who confided in Sportinglens.blogspot.com, are Chinedu
Onyenolu, Ezikiel Thompson, Ya’ú Hassan.
The source
revealed that the players were dropped during the week and others have been
told to sit up or get booted out of the team.
Sportinglens.blogspot.com
reports that the Big Elephants struggled to found its rhythm in the first
stanza of the ongoing season which left the team in a difficult position on the
log, the development that did not go down well with the club’s management and
fans.
And it seems
the management is ready to keep to his promises of parting ways with
unproductive players and bringing in experienced ones that can help the club
out of its predicament.
However, the
club has signed a striker Ajaku Chidebere from Niger Tornadoes to fortify the
team.
“The
management and technical crew are very busy in the transfer market to ensure
that best leg replaced unproductive players. Nobody like the way the club
struggled in the first stanza and we are doing everything to change the fortune
of the team for better. Three players have been dropped while we have one new
striker. We are about to sign another striker but the details are still
sketchy,” the source told Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
