Bosso threatens to recommend half salary pay to players

.Demands change of attitude
By Taofeek Babalola

El Kanemi Warriors Technical Adviser Isa Ladan Bosso has warned his players to up their game or be ready to sacrifice part of their salary, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.

El Kanemi Warriors lost 3-0 to Katsina United in the matchday 24 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) on Sunday.

In a chat with Sportinglens.blogspot.com, Bosso accused his players for lack of characters exhibited during the first stanza, insisting that they are not justifying management spending on them.

“Despite efforts made to reinforce the team during the mid-season transfer window, the result was not commensurate of our efforts. Having coached so many clubs in the country, El Kanemi is among the best three teams in terms of players’ welfare.
“A very reasonable number of players are on N4, 000 non-taxable salaries every month and they are getting their salary promptly. This kind of result is not acceptable by me. Because I tried as much as I can to put up a standard favourable to the players and the kind of characters exhibited by the players in the field of play of recent is not acceptable by me. And will never compromise that kind of attitude in my team,” Bosso told Sportinglens.blogspot.com.

He added: “In recent time they played out of plans. We expected improved performance in the second stanza but opposite is what is playing out which must be corrected with seriousness because we have no reason not to do well. The management has sacrificed so many things to favour the players and they have to reciprocate it with good results. If there are no improvements I will have no option than to ask management to put them on half salary. I want to use this medium to thank the government, management and fans for their support to the team.”
