Xhaka proposes to partner Leonita Lekaj

While some players are away sunning themselves or kissing dolphins during their summer vacation, Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has been doing something altogether more romantic.

The Switzerland international star has popped the question to partner Leonita Lekaj, who appears only too have accepted the 24-year-old’s invitation to be his bride.

Xhaka endured a rollercoaster first season with Arsenal, playing 42 times but missing seven matches due to suspension.

However, he was a mainstay of the side by the time the campaign concluded.

The Gunners might have missed out on the Champions League, but they capped their campaign with the FA Cup, though this, for Xhaka, will be his biggest prize of the year.
