FC
Barcelona have confirmed that they plan on bringing Gerard Deulofeu back to
Spain this summer on their website, with the Catalans activating the winger’s
buy-out clause.
Barcelona
have been reportedly interested in bringing Deulofeu back to Camp Nou for
several months now, and today the club made the decision to activate his
buy-back clause, which currently stands at £10.5million.
The
23-year old signed a permanent deal with the Toffees in July 2015, but
struggled to reignite the form he found towards the end of his loan spell in
the 2013/14 season.
After
the signing of Yannick Bolasie last summer, Deulofeu fell further down the
pecking order and subsequently joined Milan on loan in January, where he
enjoyed a moderately successful spell in Lombardy.
