By Taofeek Babalola

Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi forced FC Ifeanyi Ubah to a goalless draw in the matchday 25 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) at the Nnewi Township Stadium on Sunday, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.

The Giants Elephants who are the only team that are yet to pick any away point this season finally got something for themselves at the star-studded Anambra Warriors to dent hosts’ pursuit for the title .

It was a game of might as both sides try to outplay one another in the tense game.

The coach Bala Nkiyu led side withstood the pressure mounted on them by their hosts to enable them to get something from the encounter.

It was Osanga kind who received the first yellow card for a foul on Ahmed Mohammed in a dangerous position to earn a free kick. Mohammed played the free kick but Bamba Drissa parried it out for a corner kick.

But towards the end of the first half the away side took control of the midfield piling the pressure on FC Ifeanyi Ubah backline.

The hosts made the first substitution of the game when Bright Onyedikachi replaced Yaya Kone .

In the 57th minute Wikki Tourists made two substitutions as Ahmed Mohammed was substituted for Waziri Christopher while Ismail Bagayan made way for Chukwudi Samuel.

Despite every move by both sides to break the deadlock no breakthrough was recorded in this contest.

The hosts made their last two substitutions as King Osanga out for Prince Aggreh while Onuigbo Ifeanyi comes on for Godwin Obaje.

Resolute defending by Wikki Tourists and Emeka Nwabulu’s late minute save prevented Ifeanyi Ubah to get three points in the game.
