Super Eagles
forward Kelechi Iheanacho is among the players retained by Manchester City for
the 2017/2018 football season, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.
The Nigerian
international has been a subject of speculation in recent weeks with reports linking
him with a move to West Ham United.
SportingLife’s
check on the team’s on Friday confirmed that the former Flying Eagles star was
not among the seven players released by the club.
The released players are Callum Bullock, Willy
Caballero, Gael Clichy and Jesus Navas. Others
are Ellis Plummer, Bacary Sagna and Pablo Zabaleta.
Iheanacho
had a small stint at the start of the season, after Aguero got injured, that he
was the main man up-front and even managed a goal and assist in the derby. And
with the arrival of Gabriel Jesus in January, the Nigerian fell further down
the pecking order.
