By Taofeek Babalola

Kano Pillars continued its resurgence under coach Ibrahim Musa with an emphatic 3-1 victory over drowning Sunshine Stars in the Match-day 24 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clash on Sunday, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.

The Sai Masu Gida mid-season new arrivals, Junior Lokosa and Nwangwa Nyima are already delivering positive results for the former league champions. And it was two goals from Lokosa and a goal from Nyima that gave the Pyramid City outfit maximum points in the match.

Nyima gave home fans something to cheer when he netted the first goal in what look like the fastest goal of the ongoing season in less than ten seconds of the encounter which made it three goals for the former Lobi Stars forward since joining team.

Lokosa added the second goal in the 16th minute before he completed his brace in the 41st minute to make the first half look very easy for the home fans - his third goal this season after his move from First bank of Lagos.

Sunshine Stars got a consolation in the 70th minute through Sunday Olawale as the team’s acting head coach Akin Olowookere tasted his first defeat in-charge of the team.

Olowookere was named Sunshine Stars head following the resignation of Austin Eguavoen as the technical adviser on Friday.
