Super Eagles chief coach Salisu Yusuf has revealed that he has listed out about 44 players as the team gear up preparation for the 2018 CHAN Championship.

The Super Eagles have been drawn to face winner of Togo vs Benin Republic in the qualifying game for place in Kenya 2018 CHAN.

The two legged qualifiers are expected to hold between August 11 and 20, 2017.

Salisu, who is still mourning the demise of his mother Hajiya Binta Yusuf, said the preparation for the competition will start after Eid el Fitr festival.

The former Kano Pillars gaffer also disclosed that he will meet with his coaching crew member to discuss about it before submitting their plans to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

The list, according to him, will be trimmed down to the numbers that would be accommodated for by the NFF.

“We are already doing underground work but full preparation will start after the Eid el Fitr festival. I will meet my colleagues to discuss about our programmes before we submit our plans to the NFF. I have about 40 or 44 list with me already but the list will be reduced once we know the numbers of players NFF can cater for. There is nothing to worry about and everything will be all right when we start the preparation,” Salisu disclosed to SportingLife.
