A fan of
Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Ilorin FC, Alhaji Abdullateef Adedeji, has paid
the club's injured winger, Chigozirim Metu, a visit.
The Club's
Media report on Thursday that Alhaji Adedeji was accompanied to the team's camp
by the Director of Football, Alloy Chukwuemeka.
Adedeji
presented items which includes beverages, fruits, supplements among others to
the injured speed master.
"I came
to show support because I'm personally missing you on the pitch. I
specifically miss the way you run people down on the flank. I wish
you quick recovery and sound health Metu" Adedeji said.
Responding,
Metu, said he cannot thank Alhaji Adedeji, who is the General Manager of
Radiokwara, enough.
He said
Adedeji has shown the spirit of a true fan and he will never forget the gesture.
"I want
to thank you very much sir, you have shown the colour of a true fan and a
father.
"I can
tell you that this your visit will surely boost my recovery because I'm touched
by it" Metu said.
The Club's
Director of Football, Alloy Chukwuemeka, recalled how Alhaji Adedeji celebrated
Adeshina Gata's birthday, a few months ago.
He said
sports generally in Nigeria need people like Alhaji Adedeji, because government
alone cannot shoulder the responsibility of sports development.
Chukwuemeka thanked
the General Manager of Radio Kwara for his gesture.
It would be
recalled that Metu was injured during a match day 26 clash with Kano Pillars in
Ilorin after a heavy challenge on him by Jamil Jamil and was ruled out of the
season, suffering a fracture on his tibia.
