Eduwo’s goal
came on the 44th minute in the 3-1 defeat of cup holders, Rangers International
of Enugu at the Aper Aku Stadium.
Ezekiel Mba and Anthony Okpotu scored the other two goals for Lobi Stars
while Daniel Etor got Rangers consolatory goal.
A fiercely
headed goal by Alaekwe on the 84th minute against Katsina United also made the
shortlist and was remarkably the player’s first game after a long injury
lay-off. Alaekwe connected a pass from the right side, rising highest to beat
surrounding defenders for the ball to sail to the post.
