The trio of
Mohammed Mohammed, Martin Ossy and goalkeeper Abdullahi Boje of Abubakar Bukola
Saraki (ABS) FC of Ilorin, have been ruled out of match day 30 of the Nigeria
Professional Football League (NPFL) clash against Wikki Tourists of Bauchi on Wednesday, Sportinglens.blogspot.com learnt on Tuesday.
The duo of Mohammad
and Ossy are down with illness after the match day 29 game with Rivers United
while Boje is still struggling with his knee problems.
The likes of
Suleiman Dogo, Lukman Hameed and Orji Ejike have all been called to replace
Mohammed, Ossy and Boje for the trip to Bauchi.
Meanwhile, midfielder
Muiz Adeoti, has said he is delighted to start playing again after his injury
nightmare.
Adeoti upon
returning from a 7-month injury lay off saw the entire 90 minutes in a goalless
draw with Rivers United in Ilorin on Sunday.
The match
day 29 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) encounter was the first
competitive match for the midfield maestro who had successfully surgery on his
toe in a private hospital in Lagos in March.
"I am
very delighted playing again, this is what I love doing and I'm happy to be
back. My focus now is to help my team to
beat the drop, it is unfortunate the position we are right now. The period I
was injured wasn't friendly at all but I'm aware it's part of the game, how you
respond to such situation is what is important. I hope I can continue to stay injury free for
the rest of the season and beyond because I'm enjoying myself again"
Adeoti said.
The Coach of
the team, Henry Makinwa, was full of praises for Adeoti's performance against
Rivers United on Sunday and was a happy man to see the midfielder back playing
again.
He said a
coach will always want all of his best legs fit at all times but when any of
them is injured and back, it comes as a relieve.
"Injury
is part of the game, you always want your players fit all the time because you
want to win all the games.
"We are
happy to see Muiz back and he has started his comeback with a beautiful
performance against Rivers United.
"I hope
he can continue to improve upon Sunday's performance" Makinwa said.
