Bukola Saraki (ABS) Ilorin FC, goalkeeper, Nurudeen Mudashir is confident that
he and his colleagues will put up a best performance and get a good result in
their next game against Rivers United in the matchday 29 of the Nigeria
Professional Football League (NPFL) at the Ilorin Stadium on Sunday.
ABS suffered
a 2-4 defeat to Sunshine Stars FC of Akure in the matchday 28 of the Nigeria
Professional Football League (NPFL) at Ilorin which Mudashiru described as his
heaviest and worse defeat in his career.
The Akure
Gunners came out smoking in the second half of the encounter to score four pass
the former Kaduna United goalkeeper in the last 45 minute of the match in a
6-goal thriller.
Mudashiru,
who joined the Saraki Boys during the 2016/2017 NPFL mid-season transfer window
from Kaduna United, admitted that they have let their fans down and ready to redeem
their image against Rivers United.
“It took me until
Tuesday to get over the surprises that happened on Sunday but that is football
for you. We have put that behind us and we focused for the game against Rivers
United on Sunday. We are aware we have let our fans down and we must begin to
redeem our image from the Rivers United match on Sunday in Ilorin,” Mudashir
said.
