Super Eagles
chief coach Salisu Yusuf has revealed to Sportinglens.blogsport.com that any player who fails
to report to the Home-based Eagles team’s camp on Monday may lose his
invitation.
The
Nigeria’s senior home –based professionals are expected to resume camp for
their 5th African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifying fixture against either
of Benin Republic or Togo in the ancient city of Kano on Monday.
The former
Kano Pillars and Enyimba FC manager said the team has limited time for
preparation and any player who came late to the camp will be referred to as
unserious player.
He also
revealed that the team will use the Sani Abacha Stadium for the training
session.
“We have limited
time for preparation and we have to hit the ground running without any delay.
All players should be in camp latest on Monday and any player who fail to show
up that day should forget about it. If a player fail to arrive at a stipulated
day it is a sign of un-seriousness and we can’t tolerate that,” Yusuf told Sportinglens.blogsport.com.
“We have our
plans already and we want the players to understand it quickly. I want the
players to know that they are coming to the camp for business and they have to
prepare well for it. We have been mandated to qualify for CHAN and there is no
time to waste any more.”
The Super
Eagles’ delegation will depart for the away match on 11th August, which will be
played in Cotonou or Lome on 13th August and return to Kano to continue camping
for the second leg, which will come up on 19th August.
