Rangers declare Christian Madu missing

By Taofeek Babalola

The management of Rangers FC of Enugu has said that one of its dependable players, Christian Madu has disappeared without official permission from the club, reports Sportinglens.blogspot.com.

The Flying Antelopes claimed that Madu left camp after reporting sick three weeks ago and his whereabouts is yet to be known.

The club’s media officer Foster Chime told Sportinglems.blogspot.com that the former Giwa FC midfielder has blocked his channel of communication with the club.

Chime said the management has since stopped his salary and warned any one poaching him or involved in his disappearance to be ready to face full weight of the Law as enshrined in the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Nigeria professional Football League (NPFL) statutes.

“We have not seen him since three weeks ago. He told us that he was sick after our game against FC Ifeanyi Ubah, and we expected him to have returned or inform the club the situation of things but he has yet to communicate with us since then.

“We have medical consultant in the club who he should have reported to but he did not do that. Even if the situation is worse, he should have gone to Enugu State Teaching Hospital for treatment but he hasn't done that as well. The Chief Coach also said he does not know his where he is. There is no communication and his movement yet to be determined,” Chime told Sportinglems.blogspot.com.
