can report that Kano State Government has given approval for the camping of Home-based
Super Eagles players at the Tahir Hotel, Nasarawa Government Reserve Area (GRA)
in Kano State in preparation for their fifth African Nations Championship
(CHAN) qualifier against Benin Republic.
The letter
of approval which was written through the office of the Kano State Sports
Commission was handed over to the team’s head coach Salisu Yusuf on Monday by
the Commission Chairman, Ibrahim Galadima.
Galadima
said the State Government under Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is happy to
host the team and ready to give the team the best of hospitality throughout
their stay in the city.
He said the people
of Kano will be ready to provide necessary assistant to the team.
The team is
expected to have their first training session on Tuesday morning at the Sani Abacha
Stadium, Kano.
The Super
Eagles’ delegation will depart for the away match on 11th August, which will be
played at the Stade De L’amitie in Cotonou on 13th August and return to Kano to
continue camping for the second leg, which will come up on 19th August.
