Manchester
City have announced the signing of Kyle Walker from Tottenham Hotspur for an
undisclosed fee. Walker has
agreed a five-year deal and becomes Man City’s third summer signing, after
Bernardo Silva from Monaco and Ederson from Benfica.
“Pep
Guardiola is one of the most respected managers in the world and I feel he can
help me take my game to a new level," Walker told mancity.com.
Walker
departs Spurs after eight seasons at the club, and has made 198 Premier League
appearances to date.
The
right-back could make his Man City debut in the first Manchester derby to be
played abroad. City face Man Utd in the United States in the International
Champions Cup on 20 July.
They start
their Premier League campaign at Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday 12
August.
