Rangers
International Football Club of Enugu have declared that one of its players,
Daniel Etor has left the training camp without official permission from the
club, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.
According to
a release by the club’s Director Media and Public Relations, Foster
Chime, the player has been absconded from training for more than a week which has
affected his services and flouting his contractual deal with the
club.
“Daniel
Eto’s whereabouts now is unknown and efforts to locate or communicate with the
player has been futile,” Chime said
The player
according to the coaches alighted from the official club's bus on their way back
from Ilorin where they played a league match against Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS)
FC of Ilorin and eloped without trace.
Chime
revealed that the management had already sent a letter to that effect on
Thursday, 27th July, 2017 to the General Secretary of the Nigeria Football
Federation (NFF) for their information.
He added
that Etor had earlier been fined Twenty Thousand Naira by the Chief Coach,
Innocent Agbo, for breaking camp rules, when he left camp and came back at
twelve midnight by jumping fence a day before the team traveled on July 22nd to
Ilorin for a league match against ABS FC on 23rd July, 2017.
The club’s
spokesman said the management might withhold the player’s salary while
considering other punitive measures against him for flouting camp rules and
travelling out without official permission.
