Chief Coach of Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia, Abdullahi Usman Biffo has called on the team's supporters not to press the panic button yet as the club will still finish well in the on-going Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Reacting to insinuations in some quarters that Abia Warriors could be in trouble at the end of the season because of some disappointing results in recent games, Biffo reassured the supporters that there is no cause for alarm as the team will get it right in their subsequent matches.
"I understand how they (the supporters) feel because our recent results have not been favourable but there is no need to panic now. The most important thing is that we have our destiny in our hands and I assure them that Abia Warriors is not a candidate for relegation " Biffo said.
The former Niger Tornadoes of Minna gaffer said that Abia Warriors have the necessary experience and quality to do well in the league but lamented that ill-luck has been the club's worst undoing.
He stated: "We dominate our opponents in almost all our matches but the results have not been commensurate with our efforts. We will continue to correct our deficiencies to ensure we achieve better results in future."
