Tourists duo of Christopher Waziri and Abdullahi Musa are battling injuries and
they are not likely to be part of Sunday’s match day 33 of the Nigeria
Professional Football League (NPFL) clash against Rangers International FC in
Bauchi, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.
The club’s
media officer, Bala Kurba disclosed to Sportinglens.blogspot.com that the duo picked up the
injury during their last game against Sunshine Stars last weekend.
.Musa |
Waziri is
nursing ankle injury while Musa is being treated for the head injury he sustained
during the clash.
The duo has
been an integral part of coach Bala Nikyu squad this season and their absence
would be felt.
Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports that NPFL wonder goal star Ahmed Usman and Hassan Hussein are also
nursing various degrees of injuries.
Kurba told Sportinglens.blogspot.com that the team has capable replacement for the injured
players.
.Usman |
“We have
about four players on the injury list now and our doctor is working tirelessly
to get them back on their fit quickly. Waziri and Musa sustained the injury during
last weekend’s game against Sunshine Stars and they won’t be ready for Rangers’
match. Usman is recovering from muscle pull while Hussein is also responding to
treatment after his groin injury,” Kurba told Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
“I don’t
think their absence will affect the team because we have the good replacement
for them. There is no doubt that they are good players but we have to do what
is expected of us anytime. This will be an avenue for other players to prove
themselves too. We will go all out for maximum points in the game against
Rangers.”
