Kano Pillars
striker Nwagua Nyima has claimed that sending-off of Junior Lokosa was the key
reason his side lost to Enyimba in the math day 32 of the Nigeria Professional
Football League (NPFL) clash in Calabar on Sunday, Sportinglens.blogspot.com
reports.
Lokosa was
shown a straight red for a rough tackle on Ifeanyi Anaemena in the 35 minute of
the encounter and Nwagua believes that the card was too harsh on his team.
The former
Lobi stars forward has been having a good partnership with Lokosa since both of
them joined Sai Masu Gida during the mid-transfer window.
Mfon Udoh 72
minutes minute goal via penalty was all Enyimba needed to claim all three
points at stake in the match. Udoh was fouled in Pillars' box and the center
referee signalled for penalty.

“The card
was very hash. I am not the type of players that usually complains about
officiating but as far I was concerned the red card slow us down. We would have
gotten something from the game if not for the card,” Nwagua said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
“Before the
card we were having the upper hands. Even when we were down with one man they still
found it difficult to score against us until they scored from the penalty. The game has come and gone and we have to
focus and work very hard for our next game against Rivers United. Lokosa is a
good player and he has been a regular for Pillars. I love his partnership up
front and it will be a different situation in the game against Rivers United. I
know that we have the players that can do it.”
