Warriors technical adviser, Ladan Bosso has placed a fine on three of his
players for indiscipline, SportingLife can reveal.
The affected
players, Yahuza Bala, Chibuzor Okonkwo and Hashimu Haliru were sanctioned
following their misconduct during Sunday’s 3-2 loss to Lobi Stars in the match
day 35 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) encounter at the Aper
Aku Stadium, Makurdi.
The club’s
striker Bala, who joined the northern outfit during the mid-transfer window was
placed on a three-match suspension and a fine of N50, 000 (fifty thousand
naira) for attacking center referee and N10, 000 (ten thousand naira) for
collecting a yellow card after the end of the match.
The club’s
right full back and former Youth international Chibuzor Okonkwo was fined with
a sum of N20, 000 (twenty thousand naira) for challenging referee’s red card
decision while the defensive midfielder Hashimu Haliru was fined N40, 000
(forty thousand naira) for staying too long before he returned to the pitch
when he went out to change his boot.
Bosso said
to SportingLife the management has been informed about the development and the
money would be deducted from their August Salaries.
“Yes, I have told the management about the
fine and it will take effect for this month salary. The team cannot allow the
indiscipline to go on in the team,” Bosso told SportingLife.
