The
Conference 6 playoffs of the 2016/2017 Kwese Premier Basketball League has been
slated for 14-19 August. This was
contained in a statement released on Tuesday by the Nigeria Basketball
Federation, NBBF.At the end of the regular season, top 6 teams from the two Conferences, Atlantic and Savannah qualified and will battle it out in a round robin game in Lagos and Kaduna respectively.
While Kada
Stars and NAF Rockets got relegated, Bauchi Nets and Delta Force will have no
business in this year’s Conference 6 playoffs after all four teams finished
bottom of the log.
From the
Atlantic Confernece, Kwara Falcons, Rivers Hoopers, Hoops & Read, Nigeria
Customs , Oluyole Warriors and Police Baton have qualified for the playoffs in
Lagos.
While Kaduna
will see defending champions Kano Pillars, Gombe Bulls, Mark Mentors , Niger
Potters , Defenders and Plateau Peaks slug it out in the Savannah Conference.
At the end
of the playoffs, the top four teams from each Conference will qualify for the
finals of this season’s Kwese Premier Basketball League.
