Players and
officials of Shooting Stars Sports club (3SC) of Ibadan arrived at the
Maiduguri airport by flight on Friday by 2: 30pm ahead of their Nigeria Professional
Football League clash against El Kanemi Warriors on Sunday.
Speaking on
their arrival, the club’s technical adviser, Kadiri Ikhana said he is at home
in Maiduguri having coached the team for many years in the past.
“First of
all we thank God for save landing in Maiduguri. I am at home here and I know
the terrain very well. We are expecting a good game on Sunday God’s willing. We
want to commend El Kanemi Warriors management for their hospitality,” Ikhana
said.
Two buses
were provided for the 3SC delegation by the El Kanemi management for their
convenience in Maiduguri.
One coastal
bus was given to the players while a car for the official.
3SC are
expected to training by 7am on Saturday morning at the El Kanemi Stadium in
Maiduguri.
