Gambo discharged from hospital, arrives in Kano

Kano Pillars captain Gambo Mohammed has reunited with his family in Kano after he was discharged from the Braithwaite Memorial Specialist hospital, Port-Harcourt on Tuesday.

Gambo suffered a rupture of the tympanic membrane in a week 12 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clash against Rivers United on Sunday.
Gambo clashed in midair with Rivers’ Wilson Andoh in the eight minute of the keenly contested encounter at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium.

And after preliminary treatment by doctors, he was taken to the Braithwaite hospital where he was well attended to.

The lanky forward left Port-Harcourt to Kano on Tuesday morning in company of the team’s medical personnel Ali Adamu and club’s team manager Salisu Yaro after he was given the green light to return home.

It is understood that Gambo is currently recuperating at his home in Kano and he is expected to continue his medical checkup at the Murtala Muhammed Specialist Hospital, Kano.

Rivers United secretary, Ahmed Abdulrahman visited Gambo at BMH on Monday in the company of the club’s co-ordinator, Bashiru Badawi and three of the Rivers United players, Andoh, Sunday Rotimi and club captain, Festus Austin.
