Shooting
Stars Sports Club of Ibadan failed yet again to pick up away points in the
Nigeria Professional Football League as they lost to Nasarawa United in Makurdi
in a rescheduled week
three league fixture on Tuesday.
Esosa
Igbinova scored the only goal of the match from a freekick in the 40th minute
to condemn 3SC to another away defeat.
The Oluyole
Warriors have not won any NPFL match away from Ibadan this season, even with
the highy successful coach Kadiri Ikhana in charge.
Nasarawa had
several chances to increase their lead, while Shooting Stars fought back
gamely.
But Nasarawa
took all the points as Clement Itodo fluffed Shooting Stars’ final chance to
equalise in the 90th minute, his curling effort into the top corner palmed out
by Nasarawa keeper Umar.
