Kano Pillars
striker Emmanuel Edmund has promised to score more goals in the ongoing Nigeria
Professional Football League (NPFL).
Edmund
netted a hat-trick in his team’s 6-0 bashing of Shooting Stars Sports Club
(3SC) of Ibadan in a week 13 encounter at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday.
Kaduna-born
Edmund, replacing Captain Gambo Muhammad who was out of the game due to an
injury he sustained in the game against Rivers United, made only his second
appearance for the club in the afternoon game.
The former
Nasarawa United ace promised to justify his inclusion in the squad any time he
is included in the squad.
He said: “It
was a good game for us and we thank God that we won the match. The win was very
important for us. I am ready to give my best and score more goals if I get the
chance to play.
“I thank my
teammates for their support too. Our fans are very fantastic because they are
always there for us.”
