Liverpool
have joined the race to sign Abdullahi Nura from Roma, according to the
Gazzetta Dello Sport.
The Nigerian has been on loan from Spezia this season but
the 18 year old has been playing in the Italian’s club’s youth team.
The right
back will be purchased by Roma at the end of the season for €2.5million after
spending €500,000 on a loan fee for the player.
They will then look to sell on
the player straight away next summer with Gazzetta saying that the Italian clib
will look for as much as €12million for the player.
Nura is also
being looked at by Tottenham and Lyon, according to the report, although a
major stumbling block will be the fact that earlier this season Nura was
treated for a heart condition, although he has been back playing in the youth
team since February.
Nura has not appeared for the senior team during his loan
spell so far but has been on the bench for 6 Serie A games, although he has not
made a substitute appearance.
