Leicester
City and Tottenham have four representatives each in the PFA Team of the Year,
with Arsenal star Mesut Ozil left out of the Premier League's best XI for
2015-16.
There was no
place in the star line-up for the German playmaker as the division's two highest
placed clubs dominated the positions.
For the
third time in his Manchester United career David de Gea was named in the Team
of the Year after another sensational season between the sticks at Old
Trafford.
Arsenal
starlet Hector Bellerin has impressed throughout this term to line up on the
right of the all-star defence.
Tottenham's
Toby Alderweirald has developed into a classy, high-quality defender under
Pochettino and lines up alongside Leicester skipper Wes Morgan at the heart of
defence. England international defender Danny Rose wins the honour on the left
side of the back four.
In midfield,
Riyad Mahrez's 16 league goals have earned him his place on the right, while
Dimitri Payet has been in sublime form following his summer move from Marseille
to line-up down the left flank. The centre of the park is again split by the
title challengers, with Spurs youngster Dele Alli handed his first appearance
alongside Leicester's N'Golo Kante.
Up top it's
an all-English affair, with the division's top two strikers Harry Kane and
Jamie Vardy picking up the remaining attacking slots.
In one of
the most unpredictable and memorable seasons in Premier League history, only
two two players - De Gea and Kane - make a repeat appearance in the award.
