Head coach
of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Football Club of Lagos, Fidelis
Ilechukwu has said victory over Wikki Tourists Football Club of Bauchi in
matchday 12 tie of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) is very key
to his quest to excel in the top flight.
The Olukoya
Boys will host the high-flying Bauchi-based team in Lagos on Friday at the
Agege Stadium but the MFM FC young tactician is not bothered about the visitors
good run of form in the league.
Ilechukwu
said the three points at stake in the encounter are not negotiable as he vowed
to adopt the best tactics to emerge victorious at the end of 90 minutes.
“We know
Wikki Tourists very well, they are a very strong side with one of the best
coaches in Nigeria and we also play almost the same style of football but we
are prepared for them.
“The game is
very important because we are yet to win a match for some time and we can’t
just continue like that.
“Victory
against Wikki Tourists is very important to our quest in to excel in the top
flight. We need the three points to make our supporters happy, the management
is looking forward to a victorious outing, we can’t afford to let them down,”
Ilechukwu told media.
The
Lagos-based team is 8th on the 20-team top flight table on 16 points from a
possible 33 while the visitors occupy the sixth spot with same number of points
but with a game at hand.
