Abia Warriors hold Ifeanyi Uba at home

Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia have broken the home invincibility of FC Ifeanyi Ubah in this year's Nigeria Professional Football League after holding the Anambra Warriors to a goalless draw at Nnewi in one of the week 14 games that took place across the nation this weekend.

Before the match, Ifeanyi Uba have won all their home matches but met a brick-wall in their oriental brothers who have the best away record in the league so far this season.

With star striker, Chisom Chikatara still unavailable for selection due to injury and reliable defenders, Emmanuel Olowo and Ozor Chinedu suspended, Coach Kennedy Boboye still paraded a team that made Ifeanyi Uba look ordinary in their own stadium.

Mitko Dobrev, the Bulgarian coach of the home side, had also paraded his best team including Brazilians, Alberico Da Silva and Williams DaSilva but they could not break the Abia Warriors defence marshaled by Super Eagles' hardman, Austin Obaroakpo who received 'the man-of-the-match' award.

In his reaction, Abia Warriors Manager, Kennedy Boboye thanked God for the shared points insisting that their ambition of winning the league or at least picking a continental ticket at the end of the season, was still intact.
