Kano Pillars move to close camping for Enyimba tie

Kano Pillars are camping in an undisclosed location in Kano ahead of Wednesday's Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clash against Enyimba FC at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.

The club media officer Idris Malikawa said the decision was taken to avoid distraction from fans and to allow players to have maximum concentration for the match.

However, Malikawa said the match between Kano Pillars and Enyimba FC is going to be a friendly affair on Wednesday.

Malikawa said he was surprised when he had some people describing the game as derby clash.

"This two clubs are now brand in the Nigerian football and continent in general," Malikawa said.
“Pillars will play its normal game and by God’s grace we would achieve what we want in the match."

The club’s image-maker also commended Sunshine Stars management and Akure fans for their conduct during Sunday’s week 14 game at the Akure Stadium.

Kano Pillars defeated Sunshine Stars by 1-0 courtesy of Adamu Mohammed’s 82 minutes goal.

“The fans, Sunshine Stars management as well as people of Akure behaved well. We thanked our fans in Akure for their support to the team. The win is not by our making but the grace of God. We will to continue to improve and sky is the limit. The victory is an indication that the players understand themselves gradually. The entire people Kano are happy. They are following the league religiously and morally now.”
