GM charges Heartland to beat Rangers

Heartland FC of Owerri General Manager Oscar Keke has urged his players to rise to the occasion when they meet Rangers FC in a Match Day 19 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clash in Enugu on Friday.

Keke charged his boys during a brief meeting with them before they departed for Enugu.

He urged them to approach the game with a positive mentality to ensure victory.

The GM emphasized the importance of ending the first stanza well, stressing that it will serve as a psychological boost ahead of the second stanza.

"Gentlemen you did your best against Plateau United but unfortunately it was not good enough. But we can compensate our fans with a good result in Enugu,'' Keke said.

Meanwhile, the team has appointed Mazi George Okoro as the new Team Manager.


Okoro succeeded promise Nwachukwu, he was before this appointment the assistant Team Manager in charge of Team B. He was a pioneer member of the Spartans of Owerri in 1976.
