Rivers
United have received injury boost ahead of this weekend’s Match Day 15 Nigeria
Professional Football League (NPFL) clash against Warri Wolves.
There is happier news to report though as
Ivoirian striker, Guy Kuemian commenced training this week after recovering
from a strain of the left quadriceps.
He suffered
the strain in Owerri on April 10 when United lost 1-2 to Heartland.
Ghanaian
attacker, Andoh has also resumed training following the knee injury he
sustained in Jos as United lost 1-2 to Plateau United on April 24.
Top scorer,
Okonkwo is back and available for selection after sitting out the win over
Rangers as a result of suspension having received five yellow cards so far this
season.
Rivers
United defender Joseph Douhadji is still out with illness and will definitely
sit out the game against Rangers.
Eguma,
however, says he does not know who will play on Sunday.
“The team is
looking sharp and injured players are recovering from injury.
“It’s good
headache for a coach to have but like I said, we will have to wait till the
last training session to decide on who plays and who sits on the bench,” he
said.
Rivers
United currently occupies seventh place in the NPFL standings with 22 points
from 14 games while Wolves are in ninth with 19 points from 13 games.
