Football
governing body, Fifa, on Thursday morning published its latest ranking of
National Teams.
Compared to
their position the previous month, the Super Eagles remained stagnant and still
occupy the 67th position in the world while they are 14th best African side
behind Algeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Senegal, Egypt, Cape Verde, Tunisia,
Congo DR, Guinea, Congo, Cameroon, Morocco and Mali.
Argentina
remain top as the Philippines reached new heights in the latest FIFA world
rankings released on Thursday.
With no
international matches in April all teams in the top 50 held their positions.
The Philippines, meanwhile, may have failed to
advance to the next round of 2018 World Cup qualifiers for the AFC region, but
the Azkals moved up one spot to their best-ever position of 115th.
