Ikorodu United fly to Kano in batches

Players and officials of Ikorodu United travelled to Kano on Friday in batches with two different Airlines ahead of Sunday’s Match Day 15 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clash slated for Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano on Sunday.

According to information made available to SportingLife by the club’s media manager, Babatunde Ayoola, 27 delegation comprising 18 players and nine officials departed local wing of the Muritala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos A2 with Azman and Aero Airlines.

Ayoola said the first batch departed with Azman Air by 6:45pm while the second batch travelled with Aero Airline by 7:20pm.

“That was the way the traveling was arranged for us. We are coming to Lagos on Monday in batches too,” Ayoola said to SportingLife.

The club’s head Coach Sam Okpodu said the team will target three points or a draw in the game.

Okpodu said: "Our win against Heartland is in the history books. And our focus now is Kano Pillars with hope of possible three points or a draw. We know the task is not going to be easy. But we want to thank our fans and supporters for their support in our last home win against heartland."
