Kano Pillars FC captain Gambo Muhammed has been declared fit to play in today’s Federation Cup Round of 64 clash against Gateway FC in lokoja.

Gambo, who return after five weeks of injury layoff, will start from the bench.

The lanky striker sustained an ear injury during his side 1-0 defeat to Rivers United in a week 12 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clash at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port-Harcourt. He played for ten minutes in the match before he was replaced by Jeol Djondang in the match.
The club’s media officer Rilwanu Idris Malikawa said Gambo travelled with team to Lokoja.

“Gambo is fit to play,” Malikawa said to sportinglens.blogsport.com “With the way he trained with his teammates after an injury he suffered during the encounter with Rivers united last month, I belief he is ready for action again.”

Sai Masu Gida will miss the services of duo of Emmanuel Edmund Adamu Muhammed.

Edmund was ruled out the match because his registration for Federation Cup is not yet ready while Mohammed left out beacuse of sickness.

“With the calibre of players we have in the team they are going for victory in today's match by God’s grace, Malikawa said.
