United were forced to make changes to the team’s squad after the top striker Obomate
Frederick pulled up an injury during the warm up before Sunday’s Match Day 17
of the Nigeria Professional Football League clash against Abia Warriors at the
Umuahia Stadium.
Obomate was
replaced by Ebuka Nnaebuo after all efforts to get him back on his feet proved
abortive.
“I don’t
have much details. He was supposed to start. He told me he's having pains in
his leg. I have to speak to our team’s doctor before saying anything official,”
Sammy Wejinya, Media Officer told Sportinglens.blogspot.com

United welcomes back captain, Festus Austin who was suspended for the Match Day
16 clash with Wikki Tourists in Port Harcourt last Wednesday.
Strikers,
Guy Kuemian and Wilson Andoh are also in the frame to return against the
Warriors after they recovered from varying degrees of indisposition.
The duo
trained with the rest of the United squad on Friday evening before the team
travelled to Umuahia on Saturday.
Right back,
Chigozie Ihunda, however, missed out as he is yet to recover from the knee
injury he sustained in United’s 1-0 success at Warri Wolves last Sunday.
