The
management of Rangers International has charged players and technical crew of
the team to be focused and committed in prosecuting the remaining matches in
the first stanza of the Nigerian Professional Football League, especially,
today’s Match Day 17 encountered against Ikorodu United FC at the Nnamdi
Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
The club’s
Director of Media and Public Relations, Foster Chime said the team has moved
into their close camp in a hotel at the outskirts of Enugu for high
concentration and close monitoring of the players.
Chime said
the players on Friday intensified their preparation at the Nnamdi Azikiwe
Stadium Enugu for Sunday’s cracker against Ikorodu United and optimistic the
Flying Antelopes will get a decent result with adequate preparation.
Rangers lost
2-1 to Sunshine Stars of Akure in a Match Day 16 encounter in Akure on
Wednesday, which Rangers described as a rage of Nigerian League.
He said the
ugly incident has been put behind them while appealing to the League management
authority to urgently and strictly monitor the league in order to sanitize
airing match officials.
Rangers are
still topping the table with 28 points on superior goal for ahead of Rivers
United who is occupying second position with same number of points.
