CESC
FABREGAS has admitted he would consider a return to Spain, but has ruled out a
move to former club Barcelona.
Fabregas has
had a poor season by his usually high standards and has managed just 10 assists
in all competitions this term.
The Blues
have had an equally poor campaign, failing to secure Champions League football
for next season and will just scrape a top-half finish.
And talking to
Spanish newspaper Marca, the midfielder has admitted he has considered
returning to La Liga - but not until he's put things right at Stamford Bridge.
"Yes,
why not? Now, I do not think that because I have many outstanding bills at
Chelsea after how it went this season," he said.
"I do
not really think of anything else, but in my opinion, the Spanish league is the
strongest with the English."
However,
despite wanting to return to his homeland in the future, he has admitted it
will not be with his boyhood club Barcelona.
"To
return to Barca would no longer be possible," he added.
"It is
impossible even if I wanted to. The Barcelona stage is over, it is
closed."
