John Owoeri wins Swedish Cup with BK Hacken

Former junior international John Owoeri has won Silverware in Sweden as BK Hacken defeated Malmo FF in the Swedish Cup final on Thursday evening.

The game was decided by penalties after 2-2 at the regulation time.

The former Enyimba FC of Aba forward was active in the final on Thursday evening.

Hacken came back from 2-0 down to clinch the trophy. Hacken suffered a 2-0 at half time but after that the MFF had a player sent off. The Wasps came back into the game and equalised and took the cup final to extension.

It was two very tired teams on the field at the extra time. Although the second quarter of an hour was speechless, and the whole thing was settled on penalties.


Having secured the Swedish Cup, Hacken will now compete in the in the 2016/17 UEFA Europa League.
