Akwa United not a threat to El Kanemi Warriors, says Ifeanyi

El Kanemi Warriors FC of Maiduguri defender Friday lfeanyi has declared that their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) rescheduled week 2 match against Akwa United today is a must win.
The hard working left full back was in action for 90th minute when the Borno Armies secured a vital away draw against Giwa FC in Jos. He was also put up an excellent performance on Sunday when the team defeated hard fighting Nasarawa United 3-0.

The former Bama Academy of Kano, who joined the team this season, said he and his teammates will try to consolidate on their fine form.

“El Kanemi is my first premier league club and I want to use this medium to thank the technical crew led by coach Ladan Bosso and the management for giving me this breakthrough and by the grace of God I will contribute my best for the team to win the league,” the former Philaun Academy of Abuja said.
The 18-year-old year star added: “I am not saying Akwa United is a push over but we are on top form now no team can stop us. We can’t afford to lose point at home.
“Akwa United is a good side but they should look for point elsewhere we will not underrate them because they had a draw against Wikki Tourist last weekend in Bauchi so we must put everything to this match.

“It is going to be a tough match. Remember last season we got a draw in Uyo and defeated them in Katsina so we are ready for them. As I said before, they are not a threat to us we will play them like we played every other team such as Enyimba FC, lfeanyi Ubah and Nasarawa United.”
